Every Wednesday (or Thursday in Singapore), iHerb selects a few brands and takes another 20% off their already discounted prices. One of this week's brands is Barleans, which sells Flax oils and other related products.

If you've been to NTUC Finest or Cold Storage in Singapore, you might have seen flaxseed oil sold in the refrigerated sections for around S$17 - S$20 for 250ml. I've bought flax oil locally a few times and each time, the oil tasted bitter and smelled rancid. Although flax oil has a funny smell, it's not supposed to smell like spoiled oil.

The flax oil from I got from iHerb, on the other hand, does not taste bitter or smell off. And guess what, you can get a 236ml bottle for under S$14. Shipping via SingPost takes about 1 week and costs 4USD (around S$5). If you are a first-time buyer, you can get at least 5USD off your order by using any of the links on this blog or entering the code NEV841 when you check out.

If you are not sure if it's safe to buy from iHerb, you can read my FAQ here. I also wrote about getting a refund when some items in my iHerb order were damaged (this happens very rarely)
