20% Off D'Adamo, Made in Nature, Nordic Care, and Simply Organic on iHerb This Week

Hi everyone, it's Wednesday again and iHerb is having their weekly 20% additional discount on these selected brands. The discount lasts from 27 August 2014 to 3 September 2014 so if this is a brand you are looking for, be sure to take advantage of the steep discounts before the offers ends.

Brands on extra 20% off this week

  • D'Adamo - This is a brand based on the Blood Type Diet by Peter D'Adamo. Lots of supplements based on your blood type and also some skin care products. If you follow the blood type diet and would like to try their supplements, this is a deal you don't want to miss.
  • Made in Nature - Mostly organic dried fruit and healthy snacks. If you eat only organic, this is a good deal and cheaper than similar organic products you find in Singapore.
  • Nordic Care - Lots of face and body masques and scrubs. I'm interested in trying out their mineral masque. It contains Zinc which may help with acne and other inflammatory skin conditions
  • Simply Organic - Organic herbs and condiments. I usually buy my condiments in bulk so this isn't such a good deal for me. If you're interested in what I usually get, check out Frontier Natural instead. They have bulk packs of herbs like oregano, basil, rosemary and so on that's really cheap compared to the tiny 20g bottles you find at Cold Storage, NTUC or other local grocery stores.

First time buying from iHerb?

If you've never gotten anything from iHerb before, check out my first FAQ and review here which tells you the basics and my July haul with photos of the stuff I've bought plus more questioned answered. Also, make sure you use the discount code NEV841 when you checkout for another $5 (no minimum purchase). This is only for first-time customers. You can use the banner below too and the discount will be automatically applied to your cart when you checkout.

Desert Essence Jojoba Oil for Under $10

If you buy jojoba oil in Singapore, it can cost anywhere from $20 to $60 for a bottle. Nature's Farm sells a Desert Essence brand at $23+ for a 60ml bottle and guess what, this is available on iHerb for just USD5.38 (under S$7).

If you're wondering why this is so cheap, it's because Desert Essence is a US brand so naturally, it'll be a lot cheaper if you get it directly from the United States. Plus, when you get it from iHerb, you're actually buying at wholesale price.

This week, iHerb is giving an extra 20% off Desert Essence products, so you'll be able to get this for just USD4.3, and if you are a first-time customer, using the code NEV841 gives you $5 off, meaning you can get the product for free. You have to pay for shipping though (and it's USD4 via SingPost) but that means you'll be paying a total of $4 for that bottle. Still a lot cheaper than retail.

If you are looking for more information about iHerb, please feel free to take a look at my latest haul. Lots of photos are included plus and I also answer some FAQ about shipping stuff to Singapore.

Amazing iHerb VIP offer until 20 August 2014 (16% discounts)

Just got this in the mail:
Take advantage of the biggest VIP discount we have ever offered, and place all your orders now through Wednesday, August 20th, at 10 a.m., Pacific Time.
• 5% off any order less than $60
• 12% off any order of $60 to $119.99
• 16% off any order of $120 or more
I have never seen a 16% discount offered before this (and I've been shopping with iHerb since 2009!) so if you are a VIP member, don't miss your chance to get one of the largest discounts ever.

How to become an iHerb VIP member

In case you were wondering, it takes a minimum spend of $2,000 to become a VIP member. This is why you should try and make your purchases on the same account, or even offer to order stuff for your friends and colleagues :)

Most people spend hundreds of dollars on groceries, skin care, and health products so it really isn't difficult to reach if you just buy them on iHerb instead. It's cheaper that way too. Why buy from places like GNC/ Nature's Farm / Guardians / Watsons / whatever other place you shop at in Singapore when they are much pricier for almost (or in some cases, exactly) the same thing.

Don't think you can accumulate $2000 in purchases? iHerb sometimes also temporarily offers their VIP discounts to regular members. But even without the VIP discounts, lots of products are already at bargain prices.

VIP discounts after 20 August 2014

Once this offer is over, the VIP discounts revert back to their normal schedule, which is:
• 5% off any order less than $60.00 • 10% off any order of $60 to $119.99 • 12% off any order of $120 to $239.99 • 14% off any order of $240 or more

Are you new?

I realize not everybody reading this has even bought from iHerb before so if you're one of them, make sure you check out my FAQ/review here. I have been shopping on iHerb since 2009 and am a satisfied customer :)

As a new member, you won't be able to see the VIP discounts BUT you can get $5 off your first order with no minimum spend if you use the code NEV841 in your cart or click the banner below.

This means that if you buy something that's 5 bucks, you're just paying for the $4 shipping. That's like a 55% discount (haha). And if you spend $40 or more, you'll get a $10 discount. This is only for new members though.

Feel free to leave a comment or any questions below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Aubrey Organics and More in this Week's Specials 13 August - 20 August 2014

Shampoo samples from
Aubrey Organics
Every week (usually Wednesday, or Thursday since we are in Singapore), iHerb takes 20% off their already discounted prices for a few brands of products.

This week's offerings include Aubrey Organics which I like a lot and will be stocking up on! If you're unfamiliar with Aubrey Organics, they are a hair, skin, and body care brand made with herbal ingredients and plant extracts. I usually get their shampoos so this will be a great time to stock up. And if you're looking for an alternative shampoo without harsh petrochemicals, definitely check out all the discounted products here

Other discounted brands are:
  • Harney and Sons: For the tea lover, lots of tea blends including a chocolate mint black tea
  • World Nutrition Inc: Supplements made with vegetarian ingredients
If you're stocking up like I am, make sure to get your orders in before 20 August 2014 to enjoy the additional 20% discount.

Also, if you are new to iHerb, you probably want to check out my review/FAQ before you buy (And my latest haul can be found here). They provide shipping via SingPost to Singapore for just USD4 and it takes about 1 week for delivery. New customers also get a $5 off their first orders (with no minimum order amount) or $10 off (with $40 ordered) when you use the coupon NEV841
